W. Trey Coleman III

William "Trey" Coleman is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Leadership Advantage Institute (LAI), a non-profit focused on deepening personal and professional development for Black, Native American, and Hispanic students. He has over a decade of experience working in Human Resources roles at top companies across financial services and media industries to attract talent and develop them for success.
Trey currently serves as Vice President on the diversity team at a top financial services company, where he manages relationships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the United States in order to provide career opportunities for underrepresented talent. In his role, Trey works across the enterprise to strategize and execute on sponsorship, recruitment, and developmental programs that lead students to success.
Prior to his current role, he managed campus recruiting efforts for NBCUniversal where he was primarily responsible for the recruitment for CNBC and NBCU Technology internships and full-time programs. Trey also provided recruitment support to Ad Sales, Content Distribution, & Theme Parks. Prior to joining NBCUniversal, he worked for Home Box Office (HBO) as an experienced recruiter on Technology Talent Acquisition team. Trey's corporate career started at a leading financial services company in research and executive recruitment.
Trey has completed graduate-level coursework at Teacher’s College of Columbia University and attended Morehouse College where he graduated Cum Laude and received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
